Coaches Perspective:
In just four years the Warrior Wrestling has named 9 All-Americans and one two time Academic All-American. Under the direction of Coach Booker, Bacone has named 7 All Americans. His teams finished 11th at the 2004 NAIA Nationals. Placing for the Warriors were Bryan Odle (141) 5th, Daniel Roberts (165) 6th, and Niko Koliastasis, (197) 2nd. Seven national qualifiers returned, which includes two All-Americans. Our 9th place finish at the 2003 National tournament produced four All-Americans, two of which were in the finals.

The team is young with only two seniors. That leaves five freshman and sophomores in the lineup. I knew it would be tough to replace such high caliber guys. We had to rebuild in the 2004-05 season as we lost three Sr. classmates which included NAIA Runners-up in Niko Koliastasis (2x) and Kenny Taylor. Further All American, Daniel Roberts completeing his career. In the 2004-05 season the we have struggled with open weight classes and injuries. So our point of view this year has been bulid a strong base to rebuild from. The help continue to build the program we redshirted many freshman this year and look to recruit for the open weight classes .
