Based upon her achievement, Belisle was named Outstanding Wrestler in the women&#8217;s division.<\/p>\n<p>Belisle won the finals match over Murata by winning two straight periods, 3-2 and 1-0, in a very competitive showdown. In the semifinals, Belisle defeated 2004 U.S. Nationals runner-up Debbi Sakai (Mililani, Hawaii\/New York AC), 3-1 and 4-0.<\/p>\n<p>The champion at 55 kg\/121 lbs was two-time World silver medalist Tina George (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/New York AC), who scored technical falls in both period to defeat Amy Borgnini (Marquette, Mich.\/USOEC), 6-0 and 6-0.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Olympic Team Trials runner-up Alaina Berube (Escanaba, Mich.\/New York AC) won the title at 63 kg\/138.75 lbs., in a wild gold-medal victory over Megan Dolan (unattached\/Canada), 8-7 and 4-3.<\/p>\n<p>2002 U.S. Nationals champion Katie Downing (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Sunkist Kids) won a three-athlete roundrobin for the title at 67 kg\/147.5 lbs. The key victory came over 2004 U.S. Nationals runner-up Heather Martin (Wellington, Ohio\/New York AC), 4-1 and 6-0. Downing is ranked No. 1 in the nation at this division.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. women wrestlers won five of the seven weight divisions. Other individual champion from the United States were Katie Kunimoto (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Gator WC) at 48 kg\/105.5 lbs. and Leigh Jaynes (Burlington, N.J., New York AC) at 59 kg\/130 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>Kunimoto scored a 2-0, 1-1 finals victory over Liz Short (Lombard, Ill.\/USOEC). Jaynes pinned Kim Noakes (Guelph WC\/Canada) in 1:39 in the gold-medal match.<\/p>\n<p>The other individual champion was Meaghan Wilton (Guelph WC\/Canada), who won a best-of-three series over Laura Conway (MacMurray College). In the first match, Wilton scored a pin in 3:02.
