MOUNT PLEASANT – Central Michigan University wrestler Bill Stouffer has been named the final Mid-American Conference “Wrestler of the Week, “for the 2004-05 season.<\/p>\n
Stouffer defeated the past two MAC heavyweight champions last weekend to help CMU wrap up its seventh-straight MAC title. He defeated 2003 champion Tomas Rodriguez of Kent State, also ranked eighth in the nation, by a score of 3-1 on Friday. He then beat 2004 titlist Jeremiah Beltran of Ohio on Sunday, 4-2. Stouffer is currently ranked seventh in the nation and has a record of 27-5 (5-0 MAC).<\/p>\n
Next for the Chippewas is the MAC Championships to be held at Kent State University on March 4-5. CMU has won six of the last seven tournament titles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
