Hahn defeated Steve Snijders of Canada in his gold-medal bout. Rowlands, moving up to 120 kg for the first time since 2002, defeated Murat Basiev of Russia in the finals. <\/p>\n<p>Jesse Brock (Boise, Idaho\/Boise State) won a bronze medal at 60 kg\/132 lbs. as did Tony Gansen (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/USOTC) at 84 kg\/185 lbs. <\/p>\n<p>Trey McLean (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/USOTC) placed fourth at 120 kg. <\/p>\n<p>Former USA Wrestling Junior Nationals champion for Ohio Khetag Pliev of Russia placed sixth at 96 kg. <\/p>\n<p>With three champions, Russia placed first overall. Lawrence and Hahn led the Minnesota Storm to a fourth-place finish. <\/p>\n<p>In women&#8217;s freestyle action, bringing home gold medals were Clarissa Chun (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Gator WC) at 48 kg\/105.5 lbs., Jenny Wong (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Sunkist Kids) at 51 kg\/112.25 lbs. and Ali Bernard (New Ulm, Minn.\/Univ. of Regina) at 72 kg\/158.5 lbs. Bernard was competing under her club, the Univ. of Regina, which is located in Canada. <\/p>\n<p>Chun defeated Miranda Dick of Canada in the gold-medal bout. Wong downed Olympian Lindsay Belisle of Canada, who recently won the Sunkist Kids\/ASU International Open, in the finals at 51 kg. Bernard topped Ayako Murashima of Canada in the 72 kg final. <\/p>\n<p>Na&#8217;Tasha Umemoto (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Sunkist Kids) lost in a gold-medal bout at 63 kg\/138.75 lbs. to Viola Yanik of Canada. <\/p>\n<p>Winning a bronze medal for the U.S. was Tina Pihl (Colorado Springs, Colo.\/Unattached) at 55 kg\/121 lbs. Pihl is also a Canadian citizen. <\/p>\n<p>U.S. Nationals champion Sara Fulp-Allen (El Granada, Calif.\/Menlo) placed fifth at 48 kg. <\/p>\n<p>Also placing for the U.S. women were Titi Lowani (Pacific), fourth at 63 kg, Andrea Hale (Lassen), sixth at 67 kg\/147.5 lbs., Stacey Martell (Pacific), sixth at 72 kg, Irene Prouxl (Lassen) fourth at 80 kg\/176 lbs., Megan Richardson (Pacific), fifth at 80 kg and Kate Nomura (Lassen), sixth at 80 kg. <\/p>\n<p>Burnaby, B.C. &#8220;At the 2005 Clansmen International competition held at Simon Fraser University, the University of Calgary women&#8217;s wrestling team took home the overall title with a total points score of 40 at the meet. On the men&#8217;s side, the Russian National team took home the Senior Men&#8217;s title with 38 points.
