AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State athletics department and the Cyclone wrestling program mourn the loss of Cyclone Wrestling Club board member Renee Tripp. Renee died Tuesday after being hit by a car while walking. Renee Tripp was the Cyclone Wrestling Club web site administrator and a team photographer.<\/p>\n
“Renee and her husband Fred have been a part of our Cyclone family and we are absolutely devastated by this, “Iowa State wrestling coach Bobby Douglas said. “Renee was our team photographer and I always looked forward to seeing her, whether it was at the NCAA Championships or an early season dual meet. Our thoughts are with Fred and the family right now.”<\/p>\n
“You couldn’t be around Iowa State wrestling and not know Renee and Fred Tripp, “Iowa State athletics director Bruce Van De Velde said. “Renee was a selfless supporter of Cyclone wrestling and a wonderful person you enjoyed being around. Our prayers are for Fred and the Tripp family right now.”<\/p>\n
The visitation for Renee Tripp is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Home at South Street in Waterloo. The funeral home is near downtown and near the Grout Museum.<\/p>\n
Renee’s funeral is Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at the corner of 4th Street and Randolph in Waterloo<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
