In the first period, Ruiz gave up a one-point gut wrench near the end of Petrosyan&#8217;s 30-second clinch period to fall behind 1-0. Ruiz was unable to turn Petrosyan in his 30-second clinch period.<\/p>\n<p>In the second period, both wrestlers failed to turn their opponent in the 30-second clinch period. However, Petrosyan won the coin toss, meaning he scored the last point on a caution, winning the match.<\/p>\n<p>Ruiz will ravel directly to Poland to compete in the Pytlasinski Tournament with the rest of the 2005 U.S. World Team.<\/p>\n<p>Ruiz earned the spot in the bronze medal match after he defeated Valdas Sidlauskas of Lithuania (3-0, 3-0). The two periods mirrored each other, as Ruiz took 1-0 leads with a caution point and in his 30-second clinch periods, scored a two-point gut wrench in each period.<\/p>\n<p>Entering the evening, Jeremiah Davis (El Cajon, Calif.\/Northern Michigan Univ.\/Sunkist Kids) also had a chance to win a bronze medal at 60 kg\/132 lbs. Davis, however, lost his first repechage match to Sasun Chambaryan of Armenia (0-6, 5-3, 7-0).<\/p>\n<p>In the first period, Davis dominated in the 30-second clinch periods, forcing Chambaryan out of bounds in getting a caution point since Chambaryan could not turn Davis. Then, Davis sealed the period victory with a three-point throw.<\/p>\n<p>In the second period, Chambaryan took the lead in the first minute with a two-point roll. In Chambaryan&#8217;s 30-second clinch, Davis again controlled, scoring a reversal and another caution point.
