Job Opening: Assistant Wrestling Coach, University of Pennsylvania
The position is responsible for assisting the Head Wrestling Coach with all
aspects of program management. In addition to coaching duties, extensive
recruiting responsibilities, office administration and planning are
involved. Ability to motivate recruits and team members, and advise team
members. The work is performed under general supervision and reports to the
head coach.
Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Previous successful
experience of 2-3 years coaching wrestling and/or competing in wrestling at
the collegiate level required; international competitive experience
preferred. Candidate must be able to motivate recruits and student
wrestlers for high levels of success in a nationally competitive Division I
program. Candidate should also be able to motivate alumni and friends to
support program enthusiastically. Counsel and advise students. Strong
leadership, communication and organizational skills are required. Ability
and willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends/holidays as required.
